timelineMr. Prathan, Mr. Boonchu and Mrs. Malee Jirathanawat decided to built the first manufacturing plant in Salakbat (currently is under Botham), Khanuworalaksaburi, Kamphaengphet because the founders saw huge potentials in this area, which is one of the very first range of cassava’s cultivated area in Thailand.
At the beginning, THANAWAT GROUP was established officially as “Kamphaengphet Tapioca Industry Company” and ran the first batch of native tapioca starch in 1976, and production capacity was about 50-60 tons a day.
Company name was changed. Kamphaengphet Tapioca industry Company was replaced by
THANAWAT TAPIOCA INDUSTRY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP on June 4, 1986.
As demands in global market rapidly grew, founders decided to invest in new machinery and production technologies to expand manufacturing capacities from 50-60 tons a day to 120 tons a day.
THANAWAT TAPIOCA INDUSTRY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP increased production capacity from 120 to 200 tons a day by replacing the whole production line with new high quality of technologies that help us increase productivity and speed up our business growth.
THANAWAT TAPIOCA INDUSTRY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP increased the production line by adapting another set of new high technology equipment to double up our production capacity from 200 to 400 tons a day.
As numbers of customer needs jumped up yearly, The management team decided to establish the second production site, Chakangrao Starch Company Limited, in Pang Makha sub-district, Khanuworalaksaburi, Kamphaengphet. The second one was registered on September 17, 2004 with a total production capacity of native tapioca starch at about 200 tons a day.
THANAWAT TAPIOCA INDUSTRY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP amended the company name and company status to THANAWAT QUALITY STARCH COMPANY LIMITED on December 27, 2011.
To support the increasing sales volume of products continuously both domestically and internationally, the management team decided to established the third production site in Tambon sub-district, Sap Yai, Chaiyaphum, under the name of THANAWAT INTER STARCH COMPANY LIMITED, which registered on September 12, 2013 with a production capacity of 400 tons per day.
The focal point of new business idea was to increase the value of simple agricultural products and turn it to high quality healthy food products, by adapting the new technology and R&D, which we are in collaboration with one of the national research institutes and our new quality products from this project will be released to the market in the near future.
The outcomes of the collaborated R&D project helps us to generate a large range of combinations of great product features. So that is why THANAWAT GROUP decided to establish the new production line for our new premium quality products, BANANA FLOUR, which are meticulously selected from natural ingredients.
